Smriti Solanki founded SSA with the belief that meaningful spaces emerge from a deep understanding of people, place, and purpose. Trained as an architect and guided by an appreciation for materiality, craftsmanship, and context, her approach begins with understanding how a space should feel, function, and evolve over time.
Rooted in architectural thinking and refined through years of practice, SSA undertakes a selected number of projects across architecture, interiors, and the built environment. Working across India and the Middle East, the studio approaches each commission as a unique response to its context, resulting in spaces that are thoughtful, layered, and distinctly individual, where design is not merely seen but experienced in everyday life.

At SSA, we view design as the intersection of architecture, experience, and human behaviour. We do not begin with a style; we begin with a question: how should a space feel, function, and evolve over time?
Every project is shaped by its context, informed by the people who inhabit it, and refined through careful attention to proportion, materiality, craftsmanship, and detail. Rather than imposing a signature aesthetic, we seek to uncover what makes each commission distinct, allowing the design to emerge from its place, purpose, and story. The result is architecture and interiors that feel timeless, purposeful, and deeply personal spaces designed not only to be seen but to be experienced.
